Where to eat, what to see, and things to do in some of my favorite cities
Portland, OR
Portland is the city of my birth and where I grew up. Yes, it rains a lot and yes, I used to get hair wraps every year at a street fair. But it’s also more than that: it breeds the best people, has an insane variety of delicious food/coffee/bear, and is 90 minutes from both the ocean and a mountain. What more could you want?

New York City
There’s not much to say about New York City that hasn’t already been said. This was my home for five years and I adored it (…for the most part). The energy in the air is palpable and there truly isn’t anywhere on Earth quite like it.
Bordeaux, France
Los Angeles
The annual average temperature is 63° in LA. Roll down your windows, turn up “California Love” by Tupac, and drive up the PCH for some fresh seafood and sunshine.
Travel Tips, Tricks, and Testimony
Though traveling solo isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, my hope is that what I’ve learned over the years might encourage someone to give it a try! Lots of these can be good for those who prefer to have a partner in crime in their adventures.
